VECA

Terms of Use

A calculator, licensed to you.

VECA: Talk, Type, Calculate ("VECA") is published by Emergent Equilibrium LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company. Questions about these terms: support@vecacalculator.com.

Effective October 15, 2026

In short

  • You get a personal licence to use the app on your Apple devices. The app is licensed, not sold.
  • One one-time purchase unlocks the assistant and Pro mode. Apple handles payment, refunds and Family Sharing.
  • Results are for information only, not financial advice. The assistant can make mistakes; check the numbers.
  • What you type, say and calculate stays on your device. See the Privacy Policy.

These terms apply when you use VECA (the "app"). By using the app you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the app. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA") also applies; where it and these terms conflict on something it covers, it wins.

1. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store's Usage Rules and Apple's Standard EULA. The app is licensed, not sold. We keep all rights not expressly granted.

2. The one-time purchase

The app is free to download. A one-time in-app purchase unlocks the assistant and Pro mode. There is no subscription.

  • Apple sells and processes the purchase. Prices are shown in the app as Apple provides them.
  • Family Sharing. The unlock can be shared with your Family Sharing group. If a family member leaves the group, or the purchase is refunded, the unlock is removed from the devices that relied on it.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms. We can't issue refunds ourselves. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • Restore. If you reinstall the app or get a new device, tap Restore in Settings to get the unlock back, using the same Apple Account.

3. Results are for information only. Not financial advice.

The app is a calculator. It works out numbers from the values you give it.

  • It does not give advice. Nothing in the app is financial, investment, tax, legal or accounting advice, or a recommendation to take or avoid any action. The app does not know your circumstances.
  • The assistant can make mistakes. It reads your question with an AI model and may misread a value, a period or what you meant. Every answer shows what it read. You are responsible for checking those values, and the result, before you rely on it.
  • Results are estimates. Real loans, accounts and offers depend on terms the app doesn't know, such as fees, rounding, compounding and timing. For a decision that matters, confirm the figures with your lender, provider or a qualified professional.

4. Acceptable use

Use the app lawfully and for its purpose. Don't:

  • copy, modify, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app, except as the law allows despite this restriction;
  • try to bypass the purchase or its checks;
  • use the app in a way that breaks the law or Apple's terms;
  • sell, rent, lease, sublicense or otherwise commercially exploit the app, or use it to build a competing product by copying its design or content.

5. Your content

What you type, say and calculate stays yours and stays on your device. We don't receive it. See the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms. If these terms and the Privacy Policy say different things about your data, the Privacy Policy wins.

6. Feedback

If you send us ideas or suggestions about the app — for example by email to support@vecacalculator.com — you agree we can use them freely, for any purpose, without paying you or crediting you. Please don't send us anything you consider confidential.

7. Intellectual property

The app, its design, its code, its sounds, its built-in help and knowledge base articles, its name, logos and other marks, and all other content we provide belong to Emergent Equilibrium LLC or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. These terms give you the licence in section 1 and nothing more. Don't use our name, logos or marks without our written permission.

8. Apple services the app uses

The app relies on Apple services: the App Store for the purchase, and, on devices that support them, Apple's on-device speech recognition and Apple Intelligence for the assistant. Those services are provided by Apple under Apple's terms, and we don't control them. The app contains no other third-party services, no advertising and no links to other sites except the Privacy Policy and these terms.

9. Availability and changes

We may update the app, change features, or stop offering it. Features that depend on Apple — for example, Apple Intelligence or on-device speech recognition — work only on devices, languages and regions where Apple provides them, and may change when Apple changes them. We aren't liable to you if we change or withdraw the app or a feature.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP OR ITS RESULTS WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited by contract.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EMERGENT EQUILIBRIUM LLC IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, SAVINGS, DATA OR OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP OR RELIANCE ON ITS RESULTS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE APP IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AND US $50. MORE THAN ONE CLAIM DOES NOT INCREASE THIS LIMIT.

Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

12. Your responsibility for your breach

If your breach of these terms or of the law causes a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it, including legal fees.

13. Termination

These terms apply for as long as you use the app. Your licence ends automatically if you break these terms; you must then stop using the app and delete it. You can end these terms at any time by deleting the app. Sections 3, 5 to 8 and 10 to 19 survive the end of these terms.

14. Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and is not a party to these terms.

  • Support. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and for any maintenance and support. Apple has no obligation to provide any. Contact us at support@vecacalculator.com.
  • Warranty. If the app fails to conform to any warranty that applies despite section 10, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price to you. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app; anything else is our responsibility.
  • Claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for any claims about the app, including product-liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and consumer-protection or privacy claims.
  • Intellectual property. If someone claims the app infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging the claim.
  • Legal compliance. You confirm that you are not in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or that the U.S. Government has designated a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Third-party terms. When using the app you must comply with any third-party terms that apply to you, such as your wireless carrier's data plan and Apple's terms for the App Store, iCloud and Apple Intelligence.
  • Apple as third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Once you accept them, Apple has the right to enforce them against you.
  • Our details. Emergent Equilibrium LLC, 111 Town Square Pl, Ste 1238 #170726, Jersey City, NJ 07310, support@vecacalculator.com, 908-860-9495. Write to us with any question, complaint or claim about the app.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any claim about these terms or the app will be brought in the state or federal courts of the State of New Jersey, and you and we agree to those courts' jurisdiction, except that either of us may bring an individual claim in small-claims court, and we may seek an injunction in any court to protect our intellectual property. If you are a consumer in the EU, UK or another place whose law gives you the right to rely on your local law and courts, nothing here takes that away.

16. Disputes

Any dispute about these terms or the app will be resolved in the courts named in section 15. There is no arbitration clause, and nothing in these terms waives your right to bring a claim in court.

17. Notices for residents of some US states

California. Under California Civil Code §1789.3, California users are entitled to the following notice: the provider of the app is Emergent Equilibrium LLC, 111 Town Square Pl, Ste 1238 #170726, Jersey City, NJ 07310, support@vecacalculator.com. To file a complaint about the app or to receive further information about using it, write to that address or email us. You may also contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs in writing at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or by telephone at (800) 952-5210.

Your privacy rights. Residents of California and some other US states have rights over personal information a business collects about them. We collect none through the app. See the Privacy Policy.

18. General

  1. Apple's Standard EULA. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the app. If it and these terms conflict on something it covers, it wins.
  2. Entire agreement. These terms, the Privacy Policy and the Standard EULA are the whole agreement between you and us about the app.
  3. Severability. If any part of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, it will be changed to the minimum extent needed to make it valid, and the rest stays in effect.
  4. No waiver. If we don't enforce a part of these terms, we can still enforce it later.
  5. Assignment. You can't transfer these terms or your licence to anyone else. We may transfer them to a successor of our business; they will bind that successor.
  6. Notices. We may give you notice in the app or on this page. Send notices to us at support@vecacalculator.com or 111 Town Square Pl, Ste 1238 #170726, Jersey City, NJ 07310. Email counts as written notice.
  7. Force majeure. We aren't responsible for a failure or delay caused by something outside our reasonable control, including a change to an Apple service the app depends on.
  8. Export. The app is subject to U.S. export laws. Don't use or export it in breach of them.
  9. Interpretation. "Including" means "including without limitation".

19. Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to use the app, and we test it with VoiceOver and other iOS accessibility features. If something doesn't work for you, or you have a suggestion, email support@vecacalculator.com and we'll do our best to fix it.

20. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the effective date here. If a change materially affects you, we'll say so in the app before it takes effect. Using the app after a change takes effect means you accept the changed terms.
